Understanding insurance coverage can be complex due to varying plans and benefits. For specific inquiries regarding your policy, coverage, and deductibles, it’s advisable to contact your insurance carrier directly.
Radiologists are specialized medical doctors focused on diagnosing and treating illnesses using medical imaging techniques like x-rays, MRIs, and CT scans. With at least 13 years of training, they are certified by either the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. These professionals, such as those at Pacific Imaging Associates, often specialize in areas like musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, or breast imaging.
Pre-authorization is typically secured through your referring physician’s office. Insurance companies often require medical records or chart notes from your doctor to assess the necessity of the imaging study. Responsibility for obtaining pre-authorization lies with both the patient and the referring physician.
Once one of our board-certified radiologists interprets your exam, your ordering physician will provide you with the results. While you may not directly meet the radiologist, rest assured that they meticulously oversee and analyze your exam.
